The Art of Storytelling is an online coaching service I created to support Black authors who aspire to elevate their craft. In a world where speed is often prioritized over quality, I’ve noticed this trend seeping into the book industry, and honestly, it’s disheartening. One of the most significant things missing in the Black writing community is depth—the artistry of storytelling.

Storytelling is more than just words on a page. It’s an art form—a world within a world. As writers, our duty is to set the stage, build immersive worlds, and breathe life into characters and plots. Yet, too often, stories are told rather than shown, leaving readers disconnected from the magic they deserve.

I’m passionate about storytelling and deeply invested in Black writing spaces. The last thing I want to see is a continued rise in mediocrity within the book community. That’s why I’m stepping in—not to criticize but to help. Instead of sitting back and watching this decline, I’ve decided to offer guidance to those who need a little direction to bring their stories to life.

For this first round, I’m offering my coaching services free of charge to three talented writers who show potential and need some guidance. Clients will be selected through an application process, as I aim to nurture those who are ready to take their storytelling to the next level.
